Data Deletion Instructions

This page explains how to delete your personal data from LoopVoyage, including data collected through our Meta Business integration.

1. Disconnect Your Meta Account

⚡ Quick method: Disconnect your Meta account directly from LoopVoyage

1. Log in to your LoopVoyage account: app.loopvoyage.ca/login
2. Go to Settings → Integrations
3. Find the Meta Business integration card
4. Click the "Disconnect" button
5. Confirm disconnection in the popup dialog

✅ Result: Your Meta data will be deleted from our servers within 30 days.

2. Request Complete Data Deletion

For immediate deletion of all your data (not just Meta integration), contact our Data Protection Officer:

Your full name
Your LoopVoyage account email
Your Facebook User ID (if known)
Reason for deletion (optional)

⏱️ Processing time: We will respond to your request within 30 days (GDPR requirement) and complete the deletion within 30 days after confirmation.

3. What Data is Deleted?

When you disconnect your Meta account or request data deletion, the following data is removed:

🗑️ Meta Profile Data

• Facebook name
• Profile picture
• Facebook User ID
• Email address from Facebook

🗑️ Facebook Pages

• List of connected Pages
• Page IDs
• Page names
• Page access tokens

🗑️ Ad Accounts

• Ad account IDs
• Ad account names
• Synchronized campaigns
• Campaign metrics

🗑️ Engagement Metrics

• Likes, followers, comments
• Shares, reach
• Engagement rates
• Performance data

🗑️ Access Tokens

• Meta OAuth tokens
• Refresh tokens
• API keys
• Session data

🗑️ Custom Audiences

• Synchronized CRM segments
• SHA-256 hashed emails
• Lookalike audience data
• Targeting parameters

4. What is NOT Deleted?

For legal compliance and operational reasons, some data may be retained:

📋 Audit Logs (1 year)

API call logs, security events, and compliance records (required by law for 1 year)

💰 Financial Records (7 years)

Invoices, payment records, and tax documents (required by tax law)

📊 Aggregated Data

Anonymized statistics and analytics (cannot be linked back to you)

⚖️ Legal Disputes

Data related to ongoing legal proceedings or investigations

Note: Even retained data is subject to GDPR protections and will be deleted once the legal retention period expires.

5. Deletion Timeline

Day 0: Request Submitted

You disconnect your Meta account or send a deletion request email

Day 1: Immediate Actions

• Meta access tokens are revoked
• You cannot reconnect Meta account
• No new data is collected

Day 7: First Deletion Pass

• Profile data deleted (name, photo, email)
• Page connections removed
• Ad account synchronization stopped

Day 30: Complete Deletion

• All Meta data permanently deleted
• Backup copies purged
• Confirmation email sent to you

Day 365: Audit Logs Deleted

Audit logs (API calls, security events) are automatically deleted after 1 year

6. Verify Your Data is Deleted

You can verify that your Meta data has been deleted:

1️⃣ Check LoopVoyage Dashboard

Go to Settings → Integrations → Meta Business should show "Not Connected"

2️⃣ Request Data Export

Email privacy@loopvoyage.ca to request a copy of your current data (should show no Meta data)

3️⃣ Check Facebook App Permissions

Go to facebook.com/settings?tab=business_tools → LoopCRM should no longer be listed
